A small waterfall with bathing pools, tucked into the jungle above Neboda.
Rannagala Ella is a small waterfall, about 6 m high, in Rannagala village, Neboda (Kalutara District). There are natural and built bathing pools at the top and at the base. The water is clean and not too deep, with a natural sand bank where you can sit and relax.
It can be reached from Matugama (about 5.7 km along the Neboda road) or from Neboda (about 3.5 km along the Matugama road). A narrow road climbs into the jungle; from the parking spot it is a walk of a few hundred metres to the falls.

Good to know
The last stretch of road is narrow and steep: walk or take a tuk-tuk unless your vehicle can handle the climb.
Wear shoes with good grip for the short walk through the jungle.
